BIO:
Nelson W. Baker, P.Eng

Position:
CEO, President and Director
Mr. Baker graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines with a degree in geological engineering in 1969. He possesses over 40 years of successful experience in all aspects of mineral exploration and development in Canada and internationally. Mr. Baker is an active member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. He has served on the board of several public companies both as director and officer and now actively serves on the board of Temex Resources Corp., RPT Uranium Corp. and Aldrin Resources Ltd.

Company Profile:
Rainy River is a Canadian precious metals exploration company whose key asset is the Rainy River gold project. With a $39 million treasury, the Company is well funded to conduct an aggressive year round resource definition drilling program and regional drill testing of priority targets. Rainy River is extremely well located in western Ontario where it is accessed by a network of roads, and is close to hydro-electric infrastructure. Ontario is low political risk and, according to the annual Fraser Institute global survey of the mining industry, has consistently ranked as one of the top jurisdictions that embraces mineral development.

CEOCFO:
Mr. Baker, what is the focus for Rainy River?
Mr. Baker: “Rainy River’s main focus is to explore and hopefully define a multi-million ounce gold deposit in the Rainy River district. Our main asset is a 100%-owned large tract of land that covers a favorable under-explored greenstone belt that we have been enjoying very positive success in our gold exploration in that area.”

CEOCFO: Where are you in the process?
Mr. Baker: “Since we acquired the project in early 2005, we have focused principally on diamond drilling an historical gold deposit, which is the reason we bought the project. We have subsequently drilled in that area over 218 drill holes. Our plan is to initially define a gold resource estimate along the 17  Zone along a 600-meter strike length and down to a 300-meter level; to date we have drilled approximately 140 holes into that gold zone. We hope to release a national 43-101 resource estimate for that deposit during this quarter. The emphasis this year will be to add to our resource estimate as we go along with at least four diamond drill rigs working full-time on the project. We believe our chances of finding new gold zones  in the area are very high. That will be our main focus for this year. Since beginning our definition drilling of the 17 Gold Zone, we have more than tripled it’s size and it still remains open in all directions. As well we have made several new gold discoveries nearby that could increase our gold resource significantly.  This year we plan to spend at least a minimum of $12 million in the Rainy River area.”

CEOCFO: What do you like about working in that geographical area?
Mr. Baker: “Ontario, Canada is by far one of the best regions to explore. The infrastructure is outstanding; it has a network of roads throughout the area that we are exploring, access to hydropower, great community support, and a nearby labor force in Fort Francis and Emo, Ontario. Compared to other areas globally,, it is in a politically low-risk area to explore. The Fraiser Institute rated in Ontario is one of the ten best places to explore in the world and we are happy to be there.”

CEOCFO: Will you explain the techniques you are using?
Mr. Baker: “We use an exploration technique that is not used a lot by our competitors. It is a sampling technique whereby we systematically sample the overlying unconsolidated material that we term “overburden” that provides a blanket of cover over prospective greenstone belts. We systematically sample the overburden by drilling a series of closely spaced reverse circulation holes. Our particular interest is to sample the till immediately overlying the rock searching for pristine gold grains or unusual base metal indications in areas that prospectors weren’t able to explore. Essentially we are exploring for “blind” deposits in areas that have very little rock exposure.. We have perfected the technique of detecting and then tracing high concentrations of gold and base metal grains in the till to their original source. This method, if used effectively, quickly vectors us in on new discoveries. Over the years, we have had a lot of success with that unconventional technique and have been using it for better than twenty years now. It is in the outer edge of mineral exploration and it is reaping rewards for us now.”

CEOCFO: What do you see two or three years down the line?
Mr. Baker: “We are well financed with a very solid exploration team and a great management group that runs the company. We will continue to explore the Rainy River green zone belt at this high level for the next three years at least. If everything works out, we think we have the potential of discovering a new mining camp. With both gold and base metal prices at near all time highs, the future for Rainy River Project looks very promising and timely.”

CEOCFO: Final thoughts, what should people reading this take away about Rainy River Resources?
Mr. Baker: “We believe we have identified a new area in northwestern Ontario that could host several gold deposits and could represent a major new gold district. We could not have accomplished this by using conventional exploration methods. Going forward, Rainy River Resources will be viewed by the industry as a very successful exploration gold company.”
