Profile

Damilola Eniolorunda Ogunniyi founded Cybadot Technologies, an artificial intelligence company founded in 2020. He is a passionate engineer in artificial intelligence with thirteen years of experience working as a consultant in the IT field.

He is passionate about cutting-edge technology and solving real-world problems. He began his IT career in secondary school, providing consulting services to small businesses before earning his degree in Computer Science, graduating with a first-class degree from Ajayi Crowther University, Nigeria. He then got his second degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. It was a Masters in Intelligence System Engineering.

At Cybadot, Damilola is leading a team to tackle chronic health conditions. Cybalife is the healthcare solution of Cybadot, and it utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to connect healthcare professionals with patients, helping improve health outcomes.

After years of consulting, he became a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) and got the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) certification. He has about fifteen certifications to his name.

CEOCFO: Mr. Ogunniyi, what is the idea behind Cybadot Technologies?

Mr. Ogunniyi: Cybadot is an AI company. It was founded in Lagos in 2020. We have moved our headquarters to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. We are looking at how to improve the quality of healthcare delivery. There are a lot of underlying problems, so we decided to come out as a company ready to address global problems in all sectors. We see some business opportunity in the following: education, agriculture, telecommunications, energy production, waste management, robotics, and many more.

CEOCFO: Would you tell us about Cybalife?

Mr. Ogunniyi: Cybalife is AI for healthcare. The idea is to provide a complete diagnosis for chronic conditions by performing huge computations and multi-omics analysis using the patient’s electronic health record data. We identify things such as gene expression, protein synthesis, and post-translational modifications, cellular metabolic processes, and glycosylation. We are also using patient-centered records analyze medical history, medications, allergies, radiology images, treatment plans, and laboratory results of patients.

Cybalife is a three-variation solution. One of them is that of the smartphone as a mobile application. Cybalife leverages mobile sensors to provide a point of care (POC). The POC will allow for the easy generation of diagnostic results quickly so that appropriate treatment can be implemented, leading to an improved clinical or economic outcome.

In general, the epidemiological modeling approach, such as SIR, SEIR, and SEAICRloop, is one of the roots of Cybalife. Epidemiological modeling is a way to study how infectious pathogens spread in host populations. It uses mathematical, statistical, and computer tools to do this. It uses data and hypotheses to describe the demographic processes, environmental characteristics, transmission opportunities, and health consequences of diseases. It has been used to characterize risks. For instance, forecasting COVID-19 and its impact on healthcare supports and justifies the adoption of measures, guides the optimal deployment of vaccines, and informs many aspects of our lives with the virus.

CEOCFO: What have you figured out that others have not?

Mr. Ogunniyi: We did not figure out anything new. But we are not afraid of taking the risk that will unlock the next innovation. After understanding a medical expert, we discovered that the difference between a graduate medical expert and a medical consultant is the number of years of experience. Which we have decided to incorporate into our solutions, which would be more efficient than a medical expert. However, we are not replacing a medical expert; rather, we are optimizing their process and bringing higher quality to healthcare delivery.

We noticed that the smartphones were not fully used, so we decided to use them to provide point-of-care (POC), starting with diagnosis and ending with treatment options. We can top it all off with epidemiological modeling.

CEOCFO: Where are you today? Are people using your technologies or are you still in development?

Mr. Ogunniyi: Cybalife is currently under development, and the trial protocol has been developed to be submitted for the Tier 2 of Cybalife, but the Tier 1 will be out soon. Before moving Tier 2, which would be co-innovated under the LG NOVA.

CEOCFO: What is the range of industries you cover outside of health?

Mr. Ogunniyi: We see some business opportunity in the following: education, agriculture, telecommunications, energy production, waste management, robotics, and many more.

CEOCFO: What might you look at when crafting a solution that other do not realize is important?

Mr. Ogunniyi: When I run into a problem in my day-to-day life, I first ask questions and do research to find out if it's a local or global issue before I look for a clear opportunity in the industry. A typical example is Cybalfe, where the idea came during the COVID-19 lockdown. How? I had a neighbor seek medical emergency assistance at midnight, which she couldn't get. Then I started the R&D and survey, putting all the data together before an intensive period of deeper research and development to see what value could be added to the initial idea that took me more than two years. That works for all our solutions.

CEOCFO: How is business?

Mr. Ogunniyi: The business has been an opportunity to reach out to the world with our innovative solutions and make it a better place.

CEOCFO: What is your geographic reach?

Mr. Ogunniyi: At the moment, we are active in three countries: Nigeria, the US, and the UK. We look forward to making ourselves accessible in all countries.

CEOCFO: What is next for Cybadot?

Mr. Ogunniyi: Our current focus is healthcare. After the global acceptance of Cybalife, then Cybadot will look forward to deploying a solution in the education sector that will have an API for business operations by creating new business opportunities and improving existing products, systems, and operations in a business ecosystem. In no particular order, we will then choose one of the following: agriculture, telecommunications, energy production, waste management, robotics, and many others.

CEOCFO: Why choose Cybadot?

Mr. Ogunniyi: -

Cybadot came from combinations:

Instead of the word "cyber," I used "cyba." = CYBA

Then we have another word, "Damiola." = D

Another word is "Ogunniyi' = O

The last word is "Tobiloba." = T

Combined "CYBADOT"
